Whose Fighting Your Battle?

The Lord layed on my heart 2 Chronicles 20 this morning.  The story of Jehosophat.  They were faced with an enemy they could not defeat..at least not without the help of the Lord.  They fasted, diligently sought Him.  The men all stood before the Lord.  It says "The Spirit of the Lord came upon them".  WOW!  They sought His presence and HIS guidance, not their own! He told them "DO NOT be afraid! Don't be discouraged! The battle is Not yours, but God's." 

I want my every battle to be His!  I can't face my enemies alone.  I can't fight my battles without HIS strength, because I don't have enough in myself to do it without HIS presence and HIS guidance!  I'm so excited that He fights for me! Praise the LORD!

T hrough a season of heartache, mistakes, transition, and loss it has been more than difficult to focus on the Kingdom. His Grace is Enough

So a friend of mine and I were talking one day as we ran into each other at the store.  She was a little upset about some recent events in her home.  During the course of our conversation....somehow it strangely came around to God's grace.  She admitted to me that she really didn't understand what that meant exactly.  I had to admit at one time as a  new Christian I also really understand what His "grace" was either.  I told her what I knew to let her digest that, but told her I would email her some information after I did some study.  I found this short couple of statements via http://www.acts17-11.com/mercy.html. One Plants.....

"6 I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.   7  It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.   8  The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.   9  For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building" (1 Corinthians 3:6-9)      My pastor preached about our purpose today.  It was an amazing message. Some of what he said made me take notice of some of the people around me in church.
